  • What are your operating hours?
    We operate Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 5:30pm. Training sessions outside of these hours may be available by appointment - please contact us to discuss your availability.
  • What happens if I fail the assessment?
    We will provide feedback and support so you can rebook when ready. Additional training may be required, and re-assessment fees may apply.
  • How do I contact you?

  • Can I Use my own vehicle?
    In most cases, training is provided in our vehicles. If you would like to use your own, please contact us to discuss the requirements and suitability of your vehicle.
  • Am I guaranteed to pass?
    While we cannot guarantee a pass, we do everything we can to set you up for success. Our goal is to make sure you're fully prepared, confident, and competent before you take your assessment. If extra support or training is needed, we'll work with you to get you there.
  • Where are we located?
    We are situated on the Mid North Coast NSW, based out of Coffs Harbour NSW 2450.
  • What if I need to cancel?
    We understand that sometimes plans change, and we aim to be as flexible as possible. However, due to preparation and scheduling involved in heavy vehicle training and assessments, the following cancellation policy applies: Cancellations and Rescheduling: More than 72 hours' notice: No cancellation fee. You may reschedule or cancel with a full refund of any pre-paid fees. 24-72 hours' notice: A 25% cancellation fee applies, or you may reschedule once at no extra charge. Less than 24 hours' notice or no-show: The full training / assessment fee will be retained, as we are unable to fill the spot on short notice. Medical Exemption: If a cancellation is due to a medical emergency, please contact us as soon as possible and provide supporting documentation. We will assess these situations on a case-by-case basis. How to Cancel or Reschedule: Please contact us via phone or email during business hours to cancel or reschedule your booking. Changes are only confirmed once acknowledged by our team. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
  • How do I book in?

  • What is the HCVBA?
    HVCBA stands for Heavy Vehicle Competency Based Assessment. It is a structured training and assessment program used in NSW for obtaining a heavy vehicle licence. Instead of the single driving test, you are assessed over time by an accredited trainer to ensure you meet all required competencies. Once completed, you will receive a Certificate of Competency to upgrade your licence through Service NSW.
  • Do I need to hold a car licence first?
    Yes, you must hold a current car licence (Class C - open) for at least 1 year.
  • What is HR - Heavy Rigid and what are the Licence Requirements?
    HR Vehicles include; - Trucks and buses with a GVM more than 8 tonnes, and 3 or more axles. - Any towed trailer must not weight more than 9 tonnes GVM. - Bendy Buses; even though these vehicles are articulated, they are treated as a rigid vehicle. To apply for a HR Licence, you must; 🔹 Have held a class C licence (except a learner licence) or equivalent for 2 years or more. 🔹 Pass the Heavy Vehicle Knowledge Test. 🔹 Pass an eyesight test. 🔹 Successfully complete the HVCBA or pass a heavy vehicle driving test.
  • What is MC - Multi Combination and what are the Licence Requirements?
    An MC Licence is the highest level of licence class. Holding this licence allows you to drive all types of vehicles (except motorcycles). MC Vehicles include; - B-Doubles. - Prime mover, low loader dolly and low loader trailer combinations. - Road Trains. To apply for an MC Licence, you must; 🔹 Have held a class HR or HC licence or equivalent for at least 1 year. 🔹 Pass the Heavy Vehicle Knowledge Test. 🔹 Pass an eyesight test. 🔹 Successfully complete the HVCBA. If you hold a HR licence, you will need to pass a HC assessment before you can start MC training. 🔹 Pass a medical assessment.

  • What is MR - Medium Rigid and what are the Licence Requirements?
    MR Vehicles include; - Trucks and buses with a GVM more then 8 tonnes and 2 axles. - Any towed trailer must not weigh more than 9 tonnes GVM. To apply for an MR Licence, you must; 🔹 Have held a class C licence (except learner licence) or equivalent for 1 year or more. 🔹 Pass the Heavy Vehicle Knowledge Test. 🔹 Pass an eyesight test. 🔹 Successfully complete the HVCBA or pass a heavy vehicle driving test.
  • What is LR - Light Rigid and what are the Licence Requirements?
    LR Vehicles include; - Small trucks with a GVM up to 8 tonnes. Any towed trailer must not weight more than 9 tonnes GVM. - Buses that seat more than 12 adults, including the driver, and a GVM up to 8 tonnes. To apply for a LR Licence, you must: 🔹 Have held a class C licence (except learner licence) or equivalent for 1 year or more. 🔹 Pass the Heavy Vehicle Knowledge Test. 🔹 Pass an eyesight Test. 🔹 Successfully complete the HVCBA or pass a heavy vehicle driving test.
  • What is HC - Heavy Combination and what are the Licence Requirements?
    HC Vehicles include; - Articulated vehicles with 3 or more axles. - Heavy rigid vehicle trailer combinations including unladen dolly, with 3 or more axles. - Any towed trailer with a GVM more than 9 tonnes. To apply for a HC Licence, you must; 🔹 Have held a class MR or HR Licence or equivalent for 1 year or more. 🔹 Pass the Heavy Vehicle Knowledge Test. 🔹 Pass and eyesight test. 🔹 Successfully complete the HVCBA or pass a heavy vehicle driving test.
